Nails, Hand and Foot Care: Done By Me, Teresa

These articles cover what I actually do for hands and feet, manicures, pedicures, and the small skin treatments that go with them, so you know what each service involves, how your hands or feet will look after, and whether you need to plan any downtime before an event.

What I cover

About Nails, Hand & Foot

Nails, hands, and feet done properly means I sit down with you and take my time. For hands, that's shaping, cuticle work done carefully (not cut aggressively), a proper hand treatment, and polish or a clean buffed finish, whatever you're after. For feet, it's the same principle: shaping, smoothing rough skin and callus, cuticle care, and finish. Nothing rushed, nothing done while someone else works on your other hand. It's me, start to finish. That's the whole point of booking with me, one practitioner, no handoff to an assistant halfway through.

Nail care at Dermitalia

What it looks like after: neat, natural, not overworked. Nails shaped to suit your hand, cuticles tidy but not raw, skin on the feet soft without being stripped. No downtime, you walk out and go straight back to your day. If you've had polish or gel applied, give it the normal dry time and you're fine.

How often you actually need it: most people do hands every two to three weeks if they're wearing polish or gel, every three to four weeks if they just want maintenance. Feet are usually every four to six weeks, more often in sandal season. I'll tell you honestly what your nails and skin need, not push you into a schedule that doesn't match your life.

How often
Hands with polish or gel Every two to three weeks
Hands, maintenance only Every three to four weeks
Feet Usually every four to six weeks

I'm in Beverly Hills year-round and Forte dei Marmi June through September, so book with whichever location works for where you are.

What to expect

How a booking with me actually goes.

01

Booking Your Appointment

You book directly with me. No assistants, no rotating technicians. Every nail, hand and foot appointment is done by Teresa, start to finish.

02

Quick Consultation On Arrival

We talk through shape, length, colour and the condition of your nails and skin. I'll tell you honestly what will suit and last.

03

Prep, Cuticles And Shaping

I clean, shape and tidy cuticles properly before anything else. This is the step most people skip, and it's why finishes lift early.

04

Hand Or Foot Treatment

Depending on what you've booked, I work on the skin, exfoliation, softening, massage, before moving to the nails themselves.

05

Colour, Gel Or Finish

Applied slowly, in thin layers, cured properly. Trained in Tuscany at Teorema Centro Studi - Cinquesse, so the finish sits clean and even.

06

Final Check And Aftercare

I check every nail under the light before you leave and talk you through how to look after them at home.

Common questions

Things people ask before they book.

What does Nails, Hand & Foot involve?

Nails, Hand & Foot is a full manicure and pedicure, shaping, cuticle work, hand and foot treatment, and polish or gel, done start to finish by me, never handed off to an assistant. There's no downtime; you walk out ready for work, a flight, or a wedding the same day.

How much does Nails, Hand & Foot cost?

I don't post nail, hand and foot pricing publicly because it depends on what you're booking and how much time we'll need together. Send me an inquiry with what you have in mind and I'll come back with a clear price before you commit to anything. You're booking with me directly, it'll be Teresa doing your nails, not a rotating technician.

How long does Nails, Hand & Foot take?

Plan on about 60 to 90 minutes, depending on whether you're doing hands, feet, or both. It's just me start to finish, no handoff to an assistant, so the pace is unhurried but efficient.
